NIC District Centre Shajapur ,established in the year 1988 has gradually come out as a source of expansion ICT services in the district . It has played a leading role in MIS and a Decision support system for district administration . NIC Shajapur extended NICNET services up to block level when no Internet facility was there which was known as DICNET , Computerization of DWCRA ( Development of Woman and Child in Rural Areas) ,NAROO Unmoolan all the projects have been appreciated at state and central level .

NIC District Centre has played a key role in making general public aware of ICT applications .

Online Jansunvai of Nishakt people

One of the major achievements of the recent times is the implementation of video conferencing facility in district Shajapur at subdivisional level for hearing the grievances of Nishakt jan (Physically challenged people) . In this arrangement they can interact directly to collector from remote places for solution of their grievances . This programme is held weekly . Collector talks to them using Desktop web enabled Video conferencing facility provided by National Informatics Centre . So these people need not to travel a long distance to attend the regular Jansunvai programme ,they can participate through VC . Citizens of the district appreciated this facility . Collector can also instruct Sub Divisional Magistrate or block level officers using this facility .

Monitoring of Jansunvai applications

Apart from this we are also using a web enabled application for registration of grievances from normal applicants which facilitate government departments to enter their follow up online . Using this application it is very easy for collector to monitor the follow up of departments weekly . Various analysis reports are available in the website . The query is linked to district website so that an applicant know the status of his/her application by providing registration number of the application online .

RecordsMIS

This is the application for management of documents related to disposed revenue cases and revenue records . Details of a revenue case like file date,applicant name , date of disposal , description of case , court name , village, RI circle , location details i.e. rack number ,bag number etc are entered . In query we can locate a particular record by giving case number . Various queries and reports are available. Manually it is very difficult to manage such a huge number of records . By now more than 1 lacs records have been entered in the database using this application . It is a web enabled application President Madhya Pradesh Revenue Board has appreciated this project .

Dissemination of district News

With the help of Public relation office Shajapur the daily news with photographs are prepared in the collector office and uploaded on the district website with emails to press reporters daily so that they get the government news without delay .

e-court

In December 2010 Server room was inaugurated under e-court project in district court Shajapur and Case Information System prepared by NIC has been implemented . LAN has been setup in the Court complex and 69 nodes are there . 11 courts are covered under this project and they have started using CIS of NIC .

Land Records Computerzation:

All the tehsils of the district are generating Khasara report with the help of Land Record software deployed at Tehsil Level Land Records Computer Centers. The manual process of Khasra is being totally replaced with computerized system and web services have been deployed for uploading the latest Khasara information on the state land records This enables the citizen to view his or her ROR online on Internet without the need to run around government offices for the same .

MIS for Time Limit Pending Letters

NIC has implemented an application for monitoring of the letters marked as time limit by Collector . All such letters are entered and forwarded to concerning . A weekly report and for collector and all the officers are generated by the system . On every Monday a meeting of time limit is held in collector office chaired by District Collector . After the meeting all the letters considered by collector as disposed are marked as disposed and next week again old and new pending letter’s list are generated .

Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act:

Effective computerized monitoring of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act-2005 (MNREGA) is running in the district. All eight blocks have completed the offline data entry and are now carrying out the entries in an online mode on regular basis..

AGMARKNET

Under this project daily entry of arrivals and rates of various agriculture products are entered and sent to AGMARKNET portal . Agamrknet is running in Shajapur, Moman Badodiya, Shujalpur , Kalapipal , Akodiya, Agar, Badod, Susner APMCs of the district .

Election Computerization:

NIC, Shajapur has always played a key role during the Lok Sabha, Vidhan Sabha, Municipal or Nagar Panchayat elections. Almost all the election processes, viz, polling personnel deployment, EVM management ,counting personnel deployment, random allocation of booths to polling parties have been streamlined and automated. In addition, the district centre also facilitates and ensures online transmission of counting and results data to the Election Commission of India (ECI), Doordarshan and State Election Commission at the time of electons.

Other important projects running in the district

Apart from all these projects e-scholarship for tribal department in which SC,ST and OBC students can apply online for scholarship ,e-khanij for mining department are also being used in the district .

ICT Support to Other Departments:

NIC District Centre provides technical support to other departments in basic computer training , application specific training , implementation ,recruitment process ,presentations and networking .
